If we ignore Cat's Eye (which corresponds to infrared light and has few specific therapeutic indications), Ruby can be considered the final stone in the visible spectrum, the warmest. Bhattacharya considers Ruby and Pearl to be two energetic opposites, the peak of YANG and the peak of YIN: for this reason, administering both is like administering all seven gems, or at least serves to harmonize YIN and YANG when both are altered. Ruby, dominated by the Sun, corresponds to Fire and the Pitta Dosha. It regulates vision, and one must observe the contours of the eyes (especially the lower one) with a prism to observe the color red. The corresponding chakra is the third (Manipura), and the related bodily system is the skeletal system.

Unlike pearl, ruby has a hypertensive and tonic effect on the body (therefore excellent for hypotensive asthenia and seasonal changes). It is widely prescribed for amenorrhea, including perimenopausal amenorrhea, provided the patient does not suffer from hypertension or uterine fibroids, which are the two main contraindications to the use of this gemstone. This caution is equally advisable in the treatment of anemia caused by metrorrhagia: in this case, the use of ruby would be risky and non-therapeutic.

The most important therapeutic indications for this stone concern the cardiovascular and skeletal systems: arrhythmia, minor heart failure, osteoarthritis, hemiplegia, etc. For these indications, it is recommended to always use Ruby inserted into highly effective compounds with no side effects: RV/IR and RYB/IR. For hypotension and amenorrhea, single use is absolutely recommended and effective.

Doses
