Today, the world is hearing that the male-female relationship is in crisis, and everyone seems to delude themselves into thinking they can find psychological solutions, both individual and collective, without first formulating a precise diagnosis that goes beyond a simple emotional or moralistic observation. Not only that, but they also explicitly or implicitly dismiss any possible spiritual reflection on the problem, thus completely denying the spiritual dimension of sexuality. For centuries, the spiritual dimension has been confused with the religious dimension and reductively equated with it, also because in past centuries, the only existing and socially accepted form of spirituality was that tied to a specific religion. Now, for the first time in history, humanity is beginning to realize that spirituality is not a belief, but its very essence and constitutive of itself. In reality, spirituality is often confused with simple emotions, when in fact spirituality is a state of consciousness beyond the limits of rationality.

Paolo Lissoni was born in Milan, where he currently lives, in 1954. After graduating from the Liceo Beccaria in Milan in 1973, he successfully completed his medical studies at the University of Milan, graduating with honors in 1979. He subsequently completed medical specializations in Endocrinology, Medical Oncology, and Internal Medicine. He subsequently served as Director of Oncology Specialty Activities at the S. Gerardo Hospital in Monza, where, as a Medical Assistant, he worked in the Oncology Radiation Therapy Division. He is involved in numerous scientific research projects, both experimental and clinical, in the fields of psychoneuroendocrinoimmunology and tumor biotherapy, and has published numerous scientific publications in the most authoritative journals in the field.
